A Level Chances Calculator
What grades could you achieve at A Level?
This website uses data obtained from the Department for Education to show how students with the same GCSE profile as you have performed at A Level over the last two years.
Although this information is presented as percentage probabilities for each grade, it's important to remember that it does not provide 'predictions', and none of the students whose results go to make up the data set is you, with your own strengths, capacities, and patterns of working.
One way of thinking about the percentages is that they show you how effectively you will have to work in your A Level courses: for example, if the chart shows a 20% chance of an A* grade, that means you will have to work as effectively as the top 20% of students with your GCSE profile to achieve an A*. That's why, after viewing the charts, you have the chance to click through to a page with advice about how to maximise your grades at A Level, based on the latest research in cognitive science and decades of teaching experience.
